Mr. Lynn's Cover Girl reunion 8-2011

In the late 1950's my mom thought it might be a good idea for her three teen-aged daughters, professionally known as The Whipple Sisters, to take modeling lessons since our singing trio was performing quite frequently in the Shreveport/Bossier area and for some time had been singing at local schools, churches, talent shows, the USO club, the Barksdale Officer's club and the two local television stations, Channel 3 and Channel 12. She contacted Mister Lynn's International Modeling Agency located in downtown Shreveport and a deal was made. We would model and sing at the runway shows and receive our training for free. My mom, who accompanied us on piano also received her training for free.

I recently attended a mini-reunion at Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro in the Bossier Boardwalk (the last one I attended was in 2007) with previous cover girls who still live in this area. Our speaker for this special occasion was Joe Todaro, of Forum Magazine. As I edit and re-size photos I will be posting them on this new page.
