Longview Symphony Saturday March 2, 7:30 PM at Belcher Performance Center

The Longview Symphony Orchestra presents a Musical Journey through the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries this Saturday evening March 2, 7:30 pm at the Belcher performing Center, LeTourneau College, Pre Concert Opening Notes at 6:30 pm.

On Saturday, January 26, 2013, the Longview Symphony Orchestra's longtime beloved Concertmaster Emeritus, Dr. Isidor Saslav, passed away in Tyler, Texas. In a tribute to him, Maestro Kalam and the members of the orchestra will dedicate the March 2nd concert to Dr. Saslav's memory.

Concertmaster Mark Miller will be performing the Meditation from "Thais" by Jules Massenet, one of Dr. Saslav's signature works. We hope you will join us on this memorable occasion.
