Oct 30 (Friday) - ETBU Chamber recital - 7:30 PM FREE - The East Texas Baptist School of Fine Arts will present a chamber recital on Friday, October the 30th, at 7:30 pm in Mabee Recital Hall. Pianists Dr. Randall Sulton (ETBU Professor of Music), ETBU piano performance majors Angela Love (Linden, TX) and Jennifer Shafer (Big Piney, WY) will perform piano trios of Beethoven, Dvorak, and Mendelssohn in collaboration with clarinetist Dr. Tom Webster (Dean of the ETBU School of Fine Arts), violinist Russell Lewis, and cellist Pamela Martin. The Longview String Quartet (Mr. Lewis, Ms. Martin, violist Shane Almendarez and 2nd violinist Renee Ward) will join Dr. Sulton and Dr. Webster in Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes. Claude Bolling’s Sonata for Two Pianos, Percussion and Double Bass will be performed by pianists Dr. Sulton and piano major Lance Candler (Denton, TX) with percussionist Anthony Robinson (Marshall, TX) and bassist Chris Allen (Shreveport, LA).
