MSO CONCERTS IN MAY

Join the Mississippi Museum of Art and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (MSO) for a Celebration of French Music in The Art Garden in conjunction with the exhibition Old Masters to Monet: Three Centuries of French Painting from the Wadsworth Atheneum. Celebrate with a program including the bubbly effervescence of French baroque dances, the misty impressionism of Debussy, and Darius Milhaud’s 1923 groundbreaking jazzy work: The Creation of the World.

Pack the picnic hamper, put the family in the car, and head to the Ross Barnett Reservoir for our annual sundown concert of star-spangled favorites followed with a sky full of fireworks. Gates open at 4:30. Advance music and kids playground until the orchestra takes the stage at 7:30. Picnic contest!
