KDAQ - "on the road, again" Friday noon with Regional Symphony Orchestra programmimg

Friday, more than a week ago I had the pleasure of listening to KDAQ while on the road to Monroe which was offering an Acadiana Symphony performance from its 2010-2011 season. Trying to remember the program which included a piece by Christopher Lee and the Polyvetsian Dances. The concert was absolutely gorgeous and the tempos were especially breathtaking in the "Dances". My congratulations to the Principal Clarinetist, and Principal Horn.

Last Friday I listened to an SSO recent concert with some outstanding work by the new 4th Horn James Boldin, who actually was playing 3rd Horn on this concert. The Brahms Academic Festival Overture has an unforgiving and treaturous 3rd horn part as the piece winds its way to conclusion which must be heard above the rest of the orchestra madness. My sincere congratulations for the A-1 (scale of 10-10) for your due diligence in this infamous audition excerpt.
