Longview Symphony begins season with Fireworks and Brahms Violin Concerto in D

Orchestra rehearsals have begun with Music Director Tonu Kalam on the podium for the 2010-2011 season and the October 2 concert promises to be a Musical "BLAST" with Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, the Samuel Barber Adagio for Strings, Bartok's Romanian Dances and the Brahms Violin Concerto in D with guest artist, violinist Shannon Lee.

Next LSO concert "Holiday Fireworks" will be December 17, at the Belcher Center with the Kilgore College Chorale and the East Texas Community Chorus.
