Marshall Symphony - Monday Feb. 20, 2012 - A concert tribute to symphony supporter Shirley Handler

The Marshall Symphony Orchestra under the baton of its founding music director Leonard Kacenjar, presents in its final concert of the season a memorial tribute to longtime supporter of the arts and former MSO board member, Shirley Handler, who passed away last year.


Featured artists - soprano Icy Simpson, baritone, Kerone Jackson and Principal Horn Thomas Hundemer playing a piece for solo Horn, Goodbye to a Friend by Jeffrey Snedeker.

Longview Symphony Orchestra presents Strings and Piano February 11, 2012

The Longview Symphony presents a Celebration of Strings and Piano at FUMC, Longview, TX this Saturday evening February 11 at 7:30 PM. Music Director Tonu Kalam will be on the podium.

World-renowned concert pianist Ann Heiligman Saslav will perform with the Strings of the Longview Symphony.

FUMC Shreveport presents a premiere performance Sunday Feb 12, 2012 @ 4:00 PM

Flowers over the Graves of War, an original piece for choir, vocal soloists and orchestra composed by James Granville Eakin, III will be premiered by First United Methodist Church of Shreveport, Sunday February 12 at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary. The program will be conducted by choir director David Hobson.
