Ready for the LSO new season with three guest conductors?

I am, and the first performance on Saturday October 12 will be a mixture of favorite movie themes, a prelude to the Halloween mystique we look forward to this time of the season plus Wagner and Grieg,

NEWS FLASH - The Arkansas Symphony begins 2013 -14 with a huge BANG - Stravinski's The Rite of Spring, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich

Oh, my goodness!

Look at the opening season concert by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in Little Rock!! Could it get any better? Not hardly! Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22. Not one, but two opportunities to see and hear a smashup, smashing live performance by the ASO. Performances with some (h)ear catching pieces including pianist Martina Filjak. The brass parts alone should make your hair stand on end. I've played all three pieces and I can readily testify to the hair spray horn parts. :)

But, hey, the string, woodwind, piano, percussion and harp parts are worth your other ear.

Fasten your seatbelts
and do NOT miss it

Shostakovich - Festive Overture, Op. 96
