Symphonic Fireworks for the Longview Symphony Orchestra 2010 - 2011


Music Director Tonu Kalam and the Longview Symphony Orchestra will shoot off Musical Fireworks this coming season with four programs to boost your systems "GO" button.

* 2010 - 2011 concert season includes three full orchestra concerts at LeTourneau College and one guest chamber orchestra at Trinity Episcopal

*Musical Fireworks - October 2, 2010
featuring Music for the Royal Fireworks by G.F. Handel and violinist Shannon Lee playing Brahms Violin Concerto in D

*Holiday Fireworks - December 17, 2010
featuring holiday carols, excerpts from the Nutcracker, and the Prelude to the Ballet Hansel and Gretel

Baroque Fireworks - February 19, 2011 Trinity Episcopal Church
with the Mercury Baroque (Orchestra) from Houston

*Symphonic Fireworks - April 30, 2011
featuring Shostakovich Symphony No. 5
