The I-49 Brass Winter concert Dec 2009

On December 19th at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, the red carpet was out and so were brass lovers for the I-49 Brass Winter Concert. All proceeds went to the Salvation Army for needy families.

You may remember these guys from the several other concerts and recitals they have presented this past year. January 30, 2010 you will at last be able to see and hear them once again in the first SSO orchestra concert of the 09-10 season sitting on stage with their colleagues of the wind, string and percussion sections. Management/Board of the SSO and the orchestra musicians of Local 116, Shreveport signed an interim agreement recently and will present three orchestra concerts - January 30, March 5 and May 15.

Please, support your Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and we'll see you on January 30, for an all Tchaikovsky program. And "yes" I'll be there, too, in the Horn section. For ticket information:

Texarkana (TSO) Symphony Orchestra Holiday concert - Sullivan Performing Arts Center

The Texarkana Symphony Orchestra performed its first Christmas Holiday Concert December 20 in the new Sullivan Performing Arts Center at Texas High School, Texarkana, TX. The mood was festive, the music a mixture of the old and the new and the opportunity to play in the new arts center proved to be the right choice. More information to come on the new theatre.
